Wetherby 10km Race
Sunday 11th September 2011

My sincere thanks to all friends who sponsored me for my 10km run in aid of Kirklees Disabled Swimmers.  I did manage to complete the run but can't deny that I had to do a little walking in between, particularly after the half way mark.  Finished in 1 hour 9 minutes and, thankfully didn't suffer from any real aches and pains, but approx. 1 hour later I did feel as though my blood was slowly draining to my feet ;-)  However, it was worth it just to help get the poolside equipment for the disabled swimming team.  Providing I get all the sponsorship money in, thanks to everyone who supported me, we have raised approx. 530 and their target is, I believe, in the region of 600, so you, my friends, have done me proud and, on behalf of the Kirklees Disabled Swimming team, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone.  Below are a few photos taken on the day as promised
